12th May 2017 - Successful exhibition days at the transport logistic fair

Four days transport logistic exhibition have been very positive: insightful conversations with visitors and a lively exchange with business partners contain huge potential for the future. Our visitors saw 3D-print live at our GROUP7 booth and informed themselves about topics such as logistics 4.0 and digitalisation.

9th May 2017 - New logistics facility with 41,000 sqm

GROUP7 is building a new logistic center with 25,500 sqm storage space and a 1,700 sqm office building. At this new location all transport modes such as Air, Ocean, Rail and Truck will be offered under one roof. Additionally to conventional contract logistics, GROUP7 will also be offering eCommerce solutions. Because of the ideal location at the Frankfurt airport, the new multi-user warehouse will also serve as GROUP7's main cross-border e-Commerce hub.

Because of the sustainable and environmental-friendly construction, the Frankfurt logistics facility will be certified as DGNB Gold by the German Institute For Sustainable Building. This certificate has also been awarded to all other facilities of GROUP7.

For GROUP7 “Logistics 4.0” represents the networking and integration of logistical processes along the supply chain.

The global digitalisation is already in full progress at GROUP7. This is expressed through integrated interaction of physical transports and a comprehensive and actively intelligent IT. GROUP7 has recently invested in a new data processing center, in order continue the growth and development.

At this year's transport logistic trade fair in Munich, GROUP7 will present not only the conventional service portfolio comprising of air and ocean freight as well as international land transports, but also industry-specific logistics solutions. Visitors have the possibility of informing their selves about the current possibilities in the field of 3D printing at GROUP7. "At GROUP7, 3D printing is an integral part of our logistics 4.0 and enables decentralised and individualised production of time-critical products for our customers," says Günther Jocher, Managing Director of GROUP7.

"The growing and constantly changing markets call for innovative logistics solutions with corresponding technologies. GROUP7 uses resources consequently and in an organised way, so that humans, machines, markets and goods can be connected faster, more efficiently and more sustainably. 5th April 2017 GROUP7 donates EUR 10.000 to Lichtblick Hasenbergl

For many years GROUP7 is supporting the charity institution "Lichtblick Hasenbergl" in Munich. "For me the social engagement of our middle-sized enterprise in our region goes without saying. We are happy to take on responsibility and will further reinvest parts of our economic success in the future of indigent people to help them finding a better way of life," explains Managing Director Günther Jocher.

In the Munich district Hasenbergl, here are still many children and adolescents who live in social housings or former emergency shelters under disadvantaged conditions. Without funding they will not have any chances for a prosperous future or Jobs.

At the Moment, 200 children, aged between 1 and 25 find accommodation at the charity Institution. They will receive care, social training and intensive support for the school work," informs the Head of the institution Johanna Hofmeir.

7th March 2017 Worldwide just-in-time deliveries for the aerospace industry

17th February 2017 GROUP7 nominated for German Brand Award 2017

We are happy to be nominated for the German Brand Award 2017

The German Brand Institute (GBI) has nominated GROUP7 for this year’s “German Brand Award” in the sector “Industry Excellence in Branding / Logistics and Infrastructure”.

The award honours innovative brands, consistent market leadership, sustainable market communication as well as visionary personalities and companies that play a leading role in the world of German brands.

The jury for the award is composed of a committee of experts from the economy and science sectors.

12th December 2016 GROUP7 and KraussMaffei donate iPads worth EUR 10.000,00

Hand over of the iPads at Realschule Oberding, near Munich.

Students of the secondary school in Oberding were pleased to receive a new set of iPads for use in their classrooms.

The local logistics provider GROUP7 AG and the leading manufacturer of machines KraussMaffei Automation GmbH split the donation. Klaus Spielmann, Head of Business Development at GROUP7 and Thomas Marufke, Managing Director of KraussMaffei Automation collectively handed over the cheque to Martin Heilmaier, Headmaster of the secondary school Oberding.

GROUP7 has been sponsoring the secondary school for years and is already donating iPads for the third time. “To support young people is especially important to us“, emphasises Klaus Spielmann, who is responsible for apprenticeships at GROUP7. “Next to continuous encouragement we also host career information days, on which we introduce our organisation and the versatile apprenticeships we have to offer.”

The iPads will be used for research purposes on certain topics, creating presentations and much more.
